All About Hair

The above statement is very apt for this brave girl Payel who shaved her head as she wanna do it from long. This one thing changed her perspective and she has seen a new side of herself. And also she is enjoying her new look too.

Read her head shaving experience in her own words.

"This is Payel. I'm 19 and studying in Bangalore. The idea of going bald came like 2 months ago. There's no specific reason. I just thought to give it a try. I got it shaved in a salon and my dad was with me. I was little scared while getting my head shaved as if my scalp gets a cut or anything, but then after sometime I got used to it. It felt so light and the wind was like so chilled directly touching my scalp and when I saw myself on the mirror I felt cute 🙈.

Well, I only told the barber to use razor, he asked me whether trimmer or razor. As my friends knew that I'll be doing it, I got only the positive reactions and none of my relatives saw me yet.

Best compliment 🤔🤔 I don't know. But I loved it when someone tells "I look even more beautiful after shaving the head because before shaving my head I used to get lots of compliments for my hair".

I have has this habit of putting the front locks behind the ear 😂 and I am missing that. I feel like very light head.

Well, going bald isn't something bad. There are lot of people who take it negatively. But there's nothing negative in that. Be it in any age, if you can own it, you'll rock 😊 I feel so good after shaving my head. This is a new perspective 😁 for me and I thoroughly enjoyed this phase in my life with my bald head".

Before and After Pics of Her

This beautiful soul made some buzz among the social media like facebook some time back. It's because she shaved off her waist length hair and donated it for a good cause. She is no one other than our cute girl Twinkle "Luthufunnissa" hailing from Chennai.

As everyone want to know her experience in doing that, our team approached her. She is a beauty at heart too. She responded in a very pleasant manner and here we present her experience in her own words.

"I'm Luthufunnissa, completed my BCA final year hailing from Chennai. From long time, I had this thought of donating my hair for Chemo Patients. I am having hair length of 21 inches reaching my waist. Actually, it's my birthday wish to do that. Though I can't did that at the time of my birthday, I fulfilled my wish in last December.

Many people are asking me from where did I get inspired. Actually no one inspired me, it's just my wish that I wanna do. I didn't take time for taking this decision but it took time for me to convince my parents. Initially, I tried cnvincing my parents saying that I got dandruff and I wanna get shaved. They were shocked by this silly reason. From then on, I tried convincing them by saying many lies but at last I thought why shouldn't I say the truth and convince them. Immediately I went to my Dad and explained my thought of donating my hair. He felt really happy and to my surprise he mentioned that 'I'll look cute in the bald look'. I felt to happy on their decision. So the mission "BALD" started.

I thought of doing that in a parlor but it was so costly there. They are charging 250 rupees for the shave. So I tried checking in a Men Saloon and they asked me 50rupees. I thought why to waste money by shaving my head in a Parlor. I went to the barbershop along with my Mom and asked him to make me Bald. He got shocked and he tried to convince me not to go bald. He said this and that for almost 20mins and I felt like I convinced him more than my parents. Barber tied my hair both the sides and he shaved off my long hair. I felt very excited for seeing myself in a new avatar.

My friends are always by my side and supported me a lot. Though my parents are lil worried about my hair but they also felt so happy to see me doing such a good deed.

Best compliment I have got is - I have broad minded to loose such beautiful hair and also I have lot of guts in doing that.

"If you really want to help people who's suffering, just go and do something on your part. It may not be a hair donation, it may be like sharing of food, clothes or money, love, happiness to the people who are expecting that. Spread Love - At the time of Death Bed, we won't carry any of the luxuries with us.  Nothing can replace the happiness you got from helping Others".

Before and After Pics

Vanita Kariappa, this 23 year old working as a Consultant for an accelerator program in Mumbai. She was sporting with short hair and when we checked her profile, she looks so cute in a bald head. We are interested to hear her story and reached to her. We were amazed to hear her beautiful long bald journey.

Now we are presenting here in her words along with before and after pics of her.

"I work for the educational NGOs in Mumbai for Strategic Planning and Capacity Building. Shaving my head was always a thought that I have had since college days. But for the first time I really got inspired was when I was on a 5000 kms self driven trip with 5 other beautiful women from Mumbai to Kanyakumari to Kolkota.

We had a halt at Kovalam, Kerala and we were sitting by the beach at German Bakery sipping on some really great wine and food. That's where I met this lady who had recently shaved her head. Then I said with the other women"I've always wanted to this". In no time, we bought the razor and some shaving cream and shaved all my hair off. It was like passing the legacy. I honestly didn't even remember her name!

My mom found this out on Facebook and immediately called me. Her first words were "Who will marry you if your hair doesn't grow back??" But I also got the best compliment from her. When she actually saw me and said "You look stunning!" I have had the mixed reactions from the people but most of them were positive. Lot of people thought I was brave enough to take this step. I think my hair is just another part of my body. My personality remains the same whether I have long hair or short.
